Foundry Project Setup
Open the assigned Foundry project, verify role access, and confirm the parent resource scope.
Prerequisites
- Assigned KOICA-TIU account signed in to Microsoft Foundry
- MFA completed
- Tutor has confirmed your team and project name

Switch to the assigned project
From the workspace selector at the top, pick the project named fdry-koicatiu-teamXX. Confirm that the parent resource and resource group match your team.

Check your role
Open the project Settings > Access control (IAM). You should see your account listed as Contributor or Foundry User on the project.

Confirm the model deployment
Open Models + Endpoints in the left navigation. The assigned gpt-4o-mini or tutor-provided model deployment should already exist. Note its name — you will reference it later as the deployment_name.
Verification
When all three (or more) of these are true, you can mark the lab complete and move on.
- Project name matches fdry-koicatiu-teamXX
- Your account appears in the access list
- At least one model deployment is listed and shows status Succeeded
Azure cost
Project access is free. Model usage is metered per call — no cost while you only browse the project page.
Responsible AI
Project membership and scope is auditable in Entra ID. Do not invite external accounts.
